Parental/Guardian Consent for Video Recording and Remote Judging
Purpose of Recording
Your child’s routines will be filmed by their club solely for the purpose of participation in the National Gymnastics League (NGL).
The videos will be uploaded to a secure, access-controlled judging platform.
Who Will See the Videos
Only the following individuals will have access:
DBS-checked NGL judges allocated to your child’s category
Competition administrators who manage uploads and scoring
Your club staff responsible for filming and submission
Judges cannot download, share, store, or copy the videos.
How the Videos Are Used
Videos will be used only for:
Technical judging
Producing competition scores
Reviewing appeals (if applicable)
They will not be used for marketing or public sharing unless separate consent is obtained.
Security Measures
Videos are stored on an encrypted platform.
Access is restricted to named judges only.
Downloads, screenshots, or external sharing are prohibited.
Access is time-limited and removed once judging is complete.
Retention Period
Videos will be retained until:
Judging is complete, and
Any appeals or score checks are finalised
After this, videos are securely deleted (typically within 30 days) unless requested from the parents.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you may:
Withdraw consent at any time
Request deletion of your child’s videos
Request information about how data is held
Withdrawing consent does not affect past use, but your child may not be able to take part if video use is withdrawn before judging.

I confirm that:
✔ I am the parent/legal guardian of the above child or the club admin that has obtained this consent.
✔ I have read and understood how the videos will be used
✔ I give consent for my child to be recorded and for their videos to be shared securely with DBS-checked judges
✔ I understand the videos are only used for scoring and will not be publicly shared
✔ I understand I may withdraw consent at any time
